Tianamen Square


It is a huge area with many big monumental buildings.


We strolled along casually. Temp was about 32 degrees, and no smog to speak of. It was Saturday. Not too much trafic on the streets and there had been a ban on cars for a few days as an experiment to reduce the smog level forthe Olympic Games next year.


Then I spotted George being chatted up by two Chinese students. They said that they were studying English and they wanted to practise on us! Were they genuine or were we being had again? Time would tell ....
