Ann invited her friends and us for a wonderful lunch with smoked salmon, champagne, corned beef and cabbage and all the trimmings on Sunday afternoon. It was a fabulous feast. I must apologise for our part in it. (God saw us coming so he designed the typical Irish accompaniment to corned beef Sunday lunch - LASHING RAIN!) Thank you, Ann, for a great afternoon, nevertheless.
