In search of a Koala

We went to Yanchep National Park yesterday. They have a koala enclosure. Surprisingly, the koala is not native to WA, nor is it a bear! It is a marsupial. It lives high up in the Eucalyptus tress and eats only those leaves. Because its food gives very littel energy, the koala has to sleep for up to 22 hours per day. We were very lucky then to be in the right place at the richt time to catch this little one emerging from behind the leaves she had been eating.
